Madhuri Dixit
Madhuri dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress best recognized for her roles in the films Beta Saajan and Hum Aapke Hain Koun. Her first fame was her 1980s role in Tezaab and Tezaab, which she co-starred along with the veteran actor Anil Koopor. She next appeared in the movie Dil In which she shared the screen with Aamir Khan. The daughter of a middle class family in Mumbai she started learning dance from a very young age. She ventured into acting as an infant and was struggling through a couple of years since many of her early films were flops. Then, she discovered success in Indian filmmaking and rose to the top. In the aftermath of her wedding, she took a brief break from her acting career before returning. She was recently an integral part of Gulaab Gang about Indian women. Dixit was nominated for fifteen Filmfare Awards. Of these, she has won 8. Padma Shri is the fourth highest civilian honor in India. Her name is well-known for her work in the field of social service as well.
